The application for 2024-25 Princeton in Asia fellowships is now open!
Princeton in Asia (PiA) fosters mutual appreciation and cross-cultural understanding between the United States and Asia through immersive work fellowships in host organizations and communities. Since 1898, we have placed over 3,400 Fellows and interns in positions across 32 different countries and regions of Asia.
In the 2024-25 fellowship cycle, PiA expects to offer 60 positions in the following countries and regions, subject to change due to local and regional circumstances:
- Cambodia
- Indonesia
- Japan
- Kazakhstan
- Kyrgyzstan
- Laos
- Mongolia
- Singapore
- South Korea
- Sri Lanka
- Taiwan
- Thailand
- Vietnam
PiA fellowships span a variety of focus areas:
- Arts and Culture
- Economic Development
- Education
- Environmental Sustainability
- Peace, Justice, and Access to Information
- Public Health
- Sports
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
PiA offers a change in perspective, a job that matters, and a community for life. PiA Fellows work at some of Asia’s most innovative business and social enterprises; they teach at kindergartens, secondary schools, polytechnics, and universities; and they write for newspapers and create content for international media platforms. With the number and diversity of positions available, applicants of all disciplines and backgrounds are encouraged to apply!
Eligibility
The primary prerequisite for a PiA fellowship is a bachelor’s degree. Graduates of any college or university are eligible to apply for a PiA fellowship.
While PiA does not restrict eligibility based on US citizenship or residency status, all candidates must present a compelling rationale for how they will contribute to PiA’s mission of United States-Asia exchange.
There is no fee to apply for a PiA fellowship.
