Fully funded, short- and long-term professional learning experiences abroad for K-12 educators. Fulbright Teacher Exchanges provide opportunities for elementary and secondary educators to share educational practices and bring global skills and perspectives to their schools. Through these exchanges, educators forge lasting connections and prepare their students to be future leaders, equipped to work with others around the world to address global challenges. Fulbright Teacher Exchanges are sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by IREX.

Eligibility
To be eligible for Fulbright U.S. Teacher Exchanges, the applicant must:
- be a citizen of the United States;
- reside in the United States, a U.S. territory, or work at a school associated with the Department of Defense Education Activity;
- hold at least a bachelor’s degree;
- have had a minimum of three years of experience in a full-time, student-facing role in a U.S. K-12 educational institution or school district; and
- be currently employed full-time in a K-12 educational institution or school district.
