At Diabetes Canada, we have been leading the fight against diabetes since 1953. We were founded by Dr. Charles Best of Banting and Best — the researchers who discovered a way to use insulin to treat diabetes. Their historic discovery saved millions of lives and changed diabetes for the world. We believe we can find a cure and make history once more.
By investing in world-class diabetes research, supporting renowned scientists and clinicians in their quest for new treatments, we know that we will ultimately find a cure towards diabetes. In 2019, we invested $5.1 million in innovative and transformative research with 61 research grants awarded to scientists whose studies show great promise to End Diabetes.
Together, with the Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (CSEM) we are proud to host our annual Professional Conference, which offers accredited educational programs, professional development, inter-specialty networking and community building to students, researchers and healthcare professionals from all over the world.
Each year we invite submissions for abstracts that will be presented at our Professional Conference. This provides the opportunity to showcase your innovative research in diabetes, endocrinology and related areas in front of your peers and leaders in the field. These presentations are consistently rated as a highlight — this year we anticipate more than 1,800 attendees!
Take advantage of our early bird rate of $25 per abstract submission, and submit between now and Wednesday, April 29, 2020, before 5 p.m. EDT. Afterwards, regular fees apply ($45 per abstract).
Don’t miss your chance to present your findings to nearly 1,800 leaders in the field of diabetes research.
