Teacher Education Fellowship and M.Ed. at Merrimack College
As a K-12 teaching fellow at Merrimack, you will earn your Master of Education in Teacher Education in just one year – tuition-free! – while serving in a partner school district for the full academic year gaining unparalleled and invaluable field experience. In your fellowship role, you’ll engage in a range of classroom-based activities, including small group instruction, co-teaching, and ultimately, independent classroom instruction.
Eligibility:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree.
- Be authorized to work 25 hours/week in the United States
- Be able to commute to campus and fellowship sites

Krell Institute Graduate Fellowships in Science and Engineering
Krell Institute manages three of the United States’ leading four-year, federally funded science and engineering graduate fellowships for incoming and enrolled Ph.D. students. Each program offers a comprehensive set of financial benefits, access to DOE/NNSA laboratories, collaboration and information sharing via an annual fellowship meeting, opportunities for professional development, and the support of a growing community.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents
- Applicants are senior undergraduates or students in their first, second, or third year of doctoral study.

Graduate Programs in Art History & Criticism and Studio Art at Stony Brook University
The Department of Art’s graduate programs provide an interdisciplinary and dynamic environment for creative practice and scholarly inquiry. Kitty Kelley Dissertation Fellowship in Biography
Biographers International Organization (BIO) invites applications for the Kitty Kelley Dissertation Fellowship in the biography field. The fellowship provides $25,000 to a doctoral student in any department who is writing an English dissertation focused on another person’s life or upon the lives of two or more individuals. The fellowship is open to students in all fields, provided that the dissertation is biographical in its methods and focus. A fellow is expected to pursue the dissertation project full-time during the funding period.
Eligibility:
- Candidates must be doctoral students in any department writing a dissertation in English focused upon another person’s life or the lives of two or more individuals.
- Pursue the dissertation project on a full-time basis during the funding period.

CAORC’s Travel Research Fellowships
The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) offers two fellowship programs. The Multi-Country Research Fellowship supports U.S. doctoral candidates (ABD) and Ph.D. scholars conducting transnational research in the humanities, social sciences, or allied sciences in two or more countries, with awards up to $12,600. The CAORC-NEH Research Fellowship supports U.S. and resident foreign postdoctoral scholars conducting humanities research in specific countries, awarding $5,000 per month for four to six months. Minority and Minority Serving Institution scholars are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility:
- Must be US citizens
- Doctoral candidates (ABD), Scholars who have earned their PhD, or terminal degree.
- Independent scholars are eligible to apply.

Master’s Programs at the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs
At the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, you will acquire the skills, expertise, and real-world experience to transform ideas into action. The Humphrey School of Public Affairs offers six master’s degree programs Master of Development Practice, Master of Human Rights, Master of Public Affairs (Mid-Career), Master of Public Policy, Master of Science in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy; and Master of Urban and Regional Planning. Merit scholarships and non-resident tuition waivers are available to eligible applicants who apply by our priority deadlines. In addition to these general merit aid opportunities applicants can be nominated for competitive University-wide full tuition plus stipend fellowships.

- Four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited US university or foreign equivalent.
- English language proficiency.

Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship
The Foreign Affairs Information Technology (FAIT) Fellowship is an opportunity for students to pursue an IT-related degree and launch a career in the U.S. Foreign Service as an Information Management Specialist. Fellows receive up to $43,500 annually for their junior and senior years in an IT-related undergrad program, or for a two-year master’s program. These funds are applied toward tuition, room and board, books, mandatory fees, and some travel expenses. Plus, you’ll receive stipends, housing, and travel allowances for the two summer internship experiences.

- Applicants must be a U.S. citizen.
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program relevant to Information Technology and entering the junior year OR seeking admission in an IT-related master’s degree program, at a U.S.-based accredited institution.

Boren Awards for International Language Study
Boren Scholars and Fellows study a wide range of critical languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese, and Swahili while immersing themselves in underrepresented cultures in Africa, Asia, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Boren Awards are available to students of all proficiency levels. Boren Awards alumni commit to public service in roles vital to U.S. national security across various federal agencies, including State and Defense.
Eligibility:
- U.S. citizens at the time of the national application deadline.
- Matriculated for the duration of their Boren Awards-funded program in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Planning to study in an overseas location of which they are not a citizen.

APAICS Congressional Fellowship
The APAICS Congressional Fellowship offers an opportunity to qualified candidates of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander descent to serve the nation and deepen their understanding of public policy through participation in the legislative process. Fellows are placed with a congressional office or committee for 12 months and are assigned work equivalent to that of a congressional legislative aide. To be eligible to apply, applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or have at least five years of public service experience. Fellows will receive a monthly educational stipend of $3,500/mo and a $200/mo health care stipend.

- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or have at least 5 years of public service experience.
- Be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or legally authorized to work full-time.

Health Sciences Graduate Fellowship at Merrimack College
As a Health Sciences Graduate Fellow, you’ll gain real-world experience and build your professional network through tailored roles that align with your career goals – while also completing your M.S. in Exercise and Sport Science or Health Promotion and Management in just one year and saving 50-100% on tuition! Whether it’s supporting Merrimack’s Athletics Department, designing and implementing health education, wellness programming, and community-based projects for partner organizations, or designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams or facilities, you’ll be developing applied skills in meaningful ways.

Communication & Public Engagement Graduate Fellowships at Merrimack College
As a Graduate Fellow in our Communication and Public Engagement programs, you’ll gain hands-on experience and expand your professional network through personalized roles that align with your career aspirations—all while completing your M.A. in Communication, Master of Public Administration, or M.Ed. in Community Engagement and saving 50-100% on tuition! AIF Banyan Impact Fellowship
AIF’s Banyan Impact Fellowship is a 10-month fully-funded volunteer program that places a cohort of young professionals from the US and India in service with communities across India to learn, build capacity, and create a “living bridge” between both countries. Applicants must be US or Indian citizens or US permanent residents between the ages of 21-35 and have completed a Bachelor’s degree (or higher). AIF provides each Fellow a living stipend, insurance coverage, program-related travel, training, and mentorship.

- Be a U.S. or Indian citizen or a U.S. permanent resident
- Be between the ages of 21 and 35

Fulbright Teacher Exchanges for K-12 Educators
Fully funded, short- and long-term professional learning experiences abroad for K-12 educators. Fulbright Teacher Exchanges provide opportunities for elementary and secondary educators to share educational practices and bring global skills and perspectives to their schools. Through these exchanges, educators forge lasting connections and prepare their students to be future leaders, equipped to work with others around the world to address global challenges. Fulbright Teacher Exchanges are sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by IREX.
Eligibility:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Currently employed full-time in a K-12 educational institution or school district with at least three years of experience.

Fellowships at The New York Historical
Leveraging its rich collections, The New York Historical’s unique fellowship programs provide scholars with deep resources and an intellectual community to develop new research and publications. Several pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships will be awarded to scholars at all stages of their careers. Fellows are fully in residence and may not participate in external employment. Applicants should have a strong interest in New York State and City History. Full-time Fellowship positions offer stipends of $50,000-$60,000, plus benefits.

HBCU Scholars Fellowship by Virginia Humanities
The Virginia HBCU Scholars Fellowship helps HBCU-affiliated writers, community scholars, faculty members, and doctoral candidates with their research process through funding, access to academic publishing outlets, public promotion of their work, and professional community/peer support. Projects of interest can range across the disciplines of traditional humanities, public, and digital humanities, and human-centered social sciences. Based on the applicant’s proposed budget, short-term fellowship awards range from $5,000 to $15,000 and long-term fellowship awards range from $20,000 to $45,000.
Eligibility:
- HBCU affiliation is required and defined as alumni, faculty, or current doctoral candidate.
- Must be a professor, doctoral student, or public humanities practitioner with a project primarily focused on humanities or human-centered social sciences.

Graduate Fellowships in Political Economy (In-Person, Online and Hybrid)
The Mercatus Center invites doctoral students interested in learning more about political economy to apply to its Graduate Student Fellowship programs. Each fellowship is a one-year, competitive program either online, in-person, or hybrid. Programs are open to students from any discipline and at any university. These fellowships aim to expose students to themes within the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy. The total award of up to $10,000 (awards vary by program) includes a stipend, all required reading materials, and if applicable, travel and lodging to attend colloquia hosted by the Mercatus Center.

Mercatus Center Graduate Student Policy Fellowships
The Mercatus Center invites graduate students interested in learning more about applied political economy and public policy to apply to its Graduate Student Policy Fellowship programs. Each fellowship is a one-year, competitive program either online, or hybrid. They are open to students from any discipline and at any university. This fellowship aims to introduce students to the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy as academic foundations for contemporary policy analysis, policy-relevant academic research, and other applied topics. The total award of up to $5,000 (awards vary by program) includes a stipend, all required reading materials, and if applicable, travel and lodging to attend colloquia hosted by the Mercatus Center.

- Students attending master’s, JD (law), and doctoral programs.
- Interested in public policy and applied political economy.

Virtual Don Lavoie Fellowship at the Mercatus Center
The Don Lavoie Fellowship is an online fellowship program for advanced undergraduates, recent graduates, and early-stage graduate students interested in studying key ideas in political economy and learning how to utilize these ideas in academic and policy research. Fellows attend a series of online activities, including an online discussion portal and online reading discussion sessions. The total award of up to $1,250 includes a stipend and all required readings for online events, and advice on research, jobs, and graduate school.
Eligibility:
- Any student of any nationality at any university, in the US or abroad is eligible.
- Students from any discipline interested in studying key ideas in political economy.

Duke University’s Mid-Career Master’s of International Development Practice and Fellowships
Duke University offers a Master of Public Policy (MPP) and a mid-career Master of International Development Policy (MIDP) degree. Merit-based scholarships and fellowships, both full and partial, are available to highly qualified students – see the post for details!
