  • Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship: The Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship gives academic and professional opportunities to women journalists who focus on covering human rights and social justice. Fellows will have the chance to complete research and coursework at MIT’s Center for International Studies and participate in internships with media outlets including The Boston Globe and The New York Times. The Fellowship is open to women journalists worldwide working in print, broadcast, and/or Internet-based media, including freelancers. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of professional experience working full-time in news media. A fixed monthly stipend will be provided to cover housing, meals, and ground transportation during the fellowship. / Apply by April 20, 2025

 

  • NEH Fellowships for Advanced Social Science Research on Japan: The Fellowship Program for Advanced Social Science Research on Japan is a joint activity of the Japan-U.S. Friendship Commission (JUSFC) and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Awards support research on modern Japanese society and political economy, Japan’s international relations, and U.S.-Japan relations. Fellowships support continuous full-time work for 6-12 months. Successful applicants receive a stipend of up to $5,000 per month. The maximum stipend is $60,000 for twelve months. / Apply by April 23, 2025

 

  • University of Toronto Fully Funded PhD in Pharmacology: The University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada offers fully funded programs of study for students to earn a Ph.D. in Pharmacology. The objective of the Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology is to have students possess a comprehensive understanding of the general field of pharmacology, in addition to specific expertise in their particular area of interest. They build on their knowledge of pharmacology so that they can think critically about specific areas in pharmacology. Students in the thesis-based M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology receive annual stipends during the normal graduate degree program duration. / Apply by April 25, 2025

 

  • IASH Postdoctoral Fellowships and Bursaries: IASH invited applications for postdoctoral bursaries from candidates in any area of the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Particularly welcome applications linked to the themes of the new Institute Project on Decoloniality (IPD’24). This project invites scholars from around the world to visit Edinburgh and conduct research on the theme of decoloniality, broadly understood. Competition for IASH Postdoctoral Fellowships is intense, and offers targeted postdoctoral opportunities in a number of disciplines. Applicants must have been awarded a doctorate at the time of application. Research visit at the University of Edinburgh for 3 to 10 months and a bursary of up to a maximum of £15,000. / Apply by April 25, 2025

 

  • GENDER.ED Postdoctoral Fellowship: The GENDER.ED Postdoctoral Fellowship offers the opportunity to connect with gender and sexualities scholars pursuing interdisciplinary research at the University of Edinburgh and beyond. The network has its own program of activities and events, including its reading group and annual research showcase in which the GENDER.ED Postdoctoral Fellow will be invited to participate. The Institute welcomes visiting researchers from across the world and up to 30 researchers are in residence at any one time. Applicants must have been awarded a doctorate at the time of application. The fellowship program provides a maximum of £15,000 for research visits at the University of Edinburgh for 3 to 10 months. / Apply by April 25, 2025

 

  • RACE.ED Stuart Hall Foundation Fellowship: The RACE.ED Stuart Hall Foundation Fellowship invites applications from postdoctoral scholars working in any area of the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. RACE.ED is a cross-university network concerned with race, racialization, and decolonial studies from a multidisciplinary perspective. Up to 30 researchers are in residence at any one time and provide a bursary of £15,00 per month for research visits at the University of Edinburgh for 3 to 10 months, plus grants for visa fees if required. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have a suitable project or study to undertake which engages meaningfully with the works of Stuart Hall. / Apply by April 25, 2025

 

  • Stanford University Markaz Fellowships: The Markaz is eager to connect with members of its community! Whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student, a staff or faculty member, or an alumnus or alumna, there’s a pathway for you to get involved at the center. The Markaz Resource Center offers student fellowships to foster student-led campus conversations on topics related to Markaz’s mission. Students must be sophomores, juniors, seniors, or co-terms.
