Upcoming Fellowship Deadlines: February 16 – 22, 2025
- Swann Foundation Fellowships: The Swann Foundation seeks to award one fellowship annually (with a stipend of up to $5,000) to assist the fellow in his/her ongoing scholarly research and writing projects in the field of caricature and cartoon. To be eligible, one must be a candidate for an M.A. or Ph.D. degree in an accredited graduate program in a university in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico, or be engaged in postgraduate research within 3 years of receiving an M.A. or Ph.D. Individuals who are not U.S. residents but who otherwise meet the above academic qualifications may also apply and be considered for a fellowship, contingent upon the applicant’s visa eligibility. / Apply by February 16, 2025
- Rankin Foundation Scholar Grants: The Jeannette Rankin Foundation offers two unrestricted non-tuition grants for students who identify as women or nonbinary and demonstrate financial need. Students from across the United States who are 35 or older, pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate’s degree, or a first bachelor’s degree with an accredited U.S. institution may be eligible for the Jeannette Rankin National Scholar Grant. Grants are awarded directly to students. Rankin Foundation Scholars can use their funding to cover tuition, fees, books, supplies, transportation, childcare, or other living expenses while they’re in school. Scholars may be eligible to renew their grant for up to five years. / Apply by February 16, 2025
- Science & Technology Policy Fellowship: The Science & Technology Policy Fellowship is a full-time, paid, program that teaches science and technology experts the skills they need to impact policy. This program is for US-based individuals with subject matter expertise in a science and technology field. Any science and technology professional can apply, but this year priority will be given to those who work on cybersecurity, emerging technology, and climate change. The fellowship will take place at Tides Converge in San Francisco. Fellows will have the option to work remotely part-time on a final project. Admitted applicants receive a $7,500 stipend to offset the costs of their participation in the fellowship and those who complete the final policy project will receive an additional $5,000. / Apply by February 17, 2025
- Fox International Fellowship: The Fox International Fellowship is a graduate student exchange program between Yale University and 21 world-renowned partner universities. Fellows are selected for their potential to become leaders in fields that are policy-significant, historically informed, and socially meaningful. Fox International Fellows undertake independent research for an academic year at one of the Fox exchange partner universities. Fellows are doctoral students, graduating masters students, or graduating seniors. Awards include round-trip travel, accommodations, and a generous living stipend. / Apply by February 17, 2025
- Chinese Language Fellowship Program: The Chinese Language Fellowship Program (CLFP) is a nationwide initiative to support American Ph.D. students with a fellowship of up to $50,000 so that they can devote one year to intensive Chinese language training at an institution of the fellow’s choice, generally in China or Taiwan. Fellows must be Ph.D. students with a focus on China and policy. Fellows must also demonstrate an intermediate Chinese language ability. / Apply by February 17, 2025

- Hudson Institute Political Studies Summer Fellowship: Hudson Institute Political Studies offers college students and recent graduates a six-week summer program in political theory and practice based in Washington, DC. The program will broaden and deepen their understanding of public policy and American political principles. Students participate free of charge, are given complimentary accommodations, and receive a $3,000 stipend to offset travel and other ancillary expenses. This program includes four components: rigorous seminars, a series of policy workshops, a distinguished speaker series, and a series of events that include travel to places of national and historical interest. / Apply by February 18, 2025
- John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship: The Sea Grant Knauss Fellowship is a program designed for graduate students who are interested in ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources and the national policy decisions that affect these resources. The Fellowship is named after John A. Knauss, one of Sea Grant’s founders and former NOAA Administrator. The program provides a unique opportunity for highly qualified graduate students to work with “hosts” in the legislative and executive branches of government in the Washington, D.C. area, for a one-year paid fellowship. / Apply by February 19, 2025
- Matthew Power Literary Reporting Award: A grant of $12,500 will be awarded to support the work of a promising early-career nonfiction writer on a story that uncovers truths about the human condition. Offered for the first time in 2015, the Award has been endowed by individuals and organizations touched by the life and work of Matthew Power, a wide-roving and award-winning journalist who sought to live and share the experience of the individuals and places on which he was reporting. Winners will have access to New York University’s libraries and the Institute’s facilities, including workspace (as available). / Apply by February 19, 2025
- Western Michigan University Graduate Education and the Professoriate Fellowship: Western Michigan University Graduate Education and the Professoriate (WMU-GEP) Fellowships are available to U.S. citizens who derive from African-American, Hispanic, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, or Native American (with tribal affiliation) heritage and who have secured regular admission to a doctoral degree program in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) or SBE (sociology, political science, psychology, or economics) area. The GEP Fellowship is competitive and awarded to exceptional students. / Apply by February 19, 2025
- NEH Scholar In Residence: The Center for Jewish History (CJH) offers a fellowship to scholars through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). The award supports original research at the Center in the Humanities, including but not limited to Jewish studies, Russian and East European studies, American studies, and Germanic studies, as well as musicology, linguistics, anthropology, sociology, and history. Applications are welcome from college and university faculty in any field who have completed a Ph.D. more than six years before the start of the fellowship. Full fellowships carry a stipend of up to $60,000 for one year. / Apply by February 20, 2025
- Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship: Early Career Fellowships aim to provide career development opportunities for those who are at a relatively early stage of their academic careers, but who have a proven record of research. All candidates must hold a doctorate or have equivalent research experience. Applicants must either hold a degree from a UK higher education institution or must hold an academic position in the UK (e.g. fixed-term lectureship, fellowship). The intention is to support the career development of those building an academic career within the UK. The Trust will contribute 50% of each Fellow’s total salary up to £25,000 per annum and provides a £6000/year research expenses allowance. / Apply by February 20, 2025
- Hartford Hospital Summer Student Pre-Med & Research Program: The Summer Student Pre-Med & Research Program at Hartford Hospital offers a unique clinical research opportunity for third-year college students pursuing careers in medicine. The program offers the student with an introduction to research methodology, patient care, and medical ethics as well as exposure to a broad spectrum of healthcare providers within a large community teaching hospital. Selected students will take part in a 10-week program. Students will be hired as Hartford Hospital employees (colleagues) and will receive a total stipend of $4000 for their participation. - Point Foundation Community College Scholarship: The Community College Scholarship empowers LGBTQ community college students to fulfill their ambitions in community college. Whether you are eager to complete community college and pursue your passions out of the classroom, or if you are earning credits to transfer to a four-year college or university, Point can provide financial aid and coaching to help you realize success in higher education. - FFAR Fellowship Program: The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North Carolina State University is offering Future Leaders for Food and Agriculture (FFAR) Fellowships for PhD students. The program is designed for PhD students who have 3-years remaining in their degree program. An industry sponsor and confirmed PhD faculty advisor will be required for each fellow to work with virtually and during annual one-week residential sessions. The 3-year fellowship is jointly funded by FFAR and industry or analogous sponsors to develop the fellow’s “soft skills” in the field of agriculture and life science. / Apply by February 22, 2025
