  • Vanderbilt Collaborative Humanities Postdoctoral Program (CHPP): The Vanderbilt Collaborative Humanities Postdoctoral Program (CHPP) supports a cohort of six postdoctoral fellows in the humanities and humanistic social sciences to conduct research and teaching on interdisciplinary topics in the collaborative humanities. CHPP fellows will bring their interests and expertise in the humanities to the most pressing problems of the present, from the local to the global. The three-year fellowship period will support early career scholars’ efforts to transform and expand humanistic study and education in one or more of three tracks that inherently foreground issues of racial, gender, and social justice: Urban Humanities, Environmental Humanities, and Global Humanities. It will provide a salary, a research fund, and other benefits. / Apply by February 2, 2025

 

  • Southern Education Leadership Initiative (SELI): The Southern Education Foundation is calling for Emerging Leaders who are interested in improving education and addressing community needs through direct learning experiences. The summer fellowship is an intensive, eight-week, paid opportunity for individuals to be placed in a nonprofit organization or school district throughout the southern region of the United States. Eligible applicants must be between the ages of 20-32 and enrolled as at least a college junior or senior in a four-year college, preferably in social justice or education policy. A stipend of $4,500 for undergraduates or $5,000 for graduate students is given to each fellow. / Apply by February 3, 2025

 

  • Fulbright International Education Administrators Program: The International Education Administrators (IEA) seminars help U.S. higher education administrators establish lasting connections within the social, cultural, and higher education systems of other countries. Selected administrators have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the host country’s higher education system and establish networks of U.S. and international colleagues during a two-week fully funded visit abroad. The IEA Seminars are open to experienced international education administrators and senior administrators. Deadlines vary by country. / Apply by February 3, 2025

 

  • Teach For America Teacher Corps Program: Teach For America Teacher Corps is a national teacher recruitment program that aims to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting recent college graduates and professionals to teach for two or more years in low-income communities throughout the United States. Corps members come from all academic majors and career backgrounds. Corps members attend an intensive 5-week summer institute to prepare for their commitment and then are placed in schools in urban and rural areas. TFA teachers are full-fledged faculty members at their schools, receiving the normal school district salary and benefits. Applicants who are interested in joining the corps can apply during one of five application windows. / Apply by February 3, 2025

 

  • Fulbright UK Summer Institutes for US Undergraduates: The US-UK Fulbright Commission offers special Summer Institutes for US citizens to come to the UK. These summer programs provide the opportunity for US undergraduates with at least 2 years of undergraduate study left to complete, to come to the UK on a 3-4 week academic and cultural summer program. Participants will get the opportunity to experience an exciting academic program at a highly regarded UK University and explore the culture, heritage, and history of the UK. The fellowship covers RT airfare from the US to the UK, tuition and fees at the host university/institution, accommodation and meals, and in some cases a small daily allowance. / Apply by February 3, 2025

 

  • Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) at Mayo Clinic: Each year, approximately 130 undergraduate students from around the U.S. come to Mayo Clinic’s campus in Rochester, MN, to work beside both young and established scientists on a broad range of biomedical research questions. A limited number of fellowships are also available at the Mayo Clinic campuses in Jacksonville, FL, and Scottsdale, AZ. Candidates must be students currently in their sophomore or junior year at a U.S. university and seriously considering a biomedical research career as a Ph.D. or M.D.-Ph.D. (international students are eligible). The award is $6,000 for 10 weeks. / Apply by February 3, 2025

 

  • New America Fellows: New America’s Fellows Program invests in thinkers—academics, journalists, independent scholars, and public policy analysts—who offer fresh and often unconventional perspectives on the major challenges facing our society. Fellows advance big ideas through research, reporting, analysis, and/or storytelling. Fellows benefit from a financial stipend, engagement with each other and with New America’s various policy programs, and the expanded audience and exposure from New America and its media partners. Precise terms and stipend levels of fellowships vary widely, as some fellows work full-time at New America in pursuit of their research, while many others have other professional commitments during the term of their fellowship. / Apply by February 3, 2025

 

  • Spencer Fellowship for Education Reporting: The Spencer Fellowship for Education Reporting is open to journalists, educators, and education policy researchers who want to develop an ambitious, long-form journalism project to advance the understanding of education. Each fellow will receive a $85,000 stipend plus research expenses to support their academic year studying with professors throughout the Columbia campuses and working on projects under the guidance of mentors at Columbia Journalism School. Applications are open to U.S. and international journalists but projects must be done in English. / Apply by February 3, 2025

 

  • Howard Mayer Brown Fellowship: The Howard Mayer Brown Fellowship intends to increase the presence of minority scholars and teachers in musicology, the fellowship supports one year of graduate work for a student at a U.S. or Canadian university who is a member of a historically underrepresented group, including, in the U.S., African Americans, Native Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Asian Americans, and, in Canada, aboriginal peoples and visible minorities (as defined by Canadian legislation). The fellowship carries a twelve-month stipend, currently set at $24,000. Applicants must have completed at least one year of full-time graduate work and intend to pursue a PhD. / Apply by February 3, 2025

 

  • CAF Medical Research Grants and Fellowships: The Cooley’s Anemia Foundation is accepting applications for medical research grants and fellowships in areas related to thalassemia. The awards are in 3 categories: Support for Ongoing Clinical Research in Thalassemia; Clinical Trials in Thalassemia Cell and Gene Therapy; and Research Fellowships. Applicants from all disciplines and backgrounds (MD, RN, Ph.D., MPH, MSW, or other disciplines) are encouraged to apply. Support for Ongoing Clinical Research in Thalassemia is $50,000 annually; Clinical Trials in Thalassemia Cell and Gene Therapy is $75,000 annually. Interested individuals are invited to submit a letter of intent before applying. / Apply by February 3, 2025

 

  • University of Maryland Fully Funded MFA in Studio Art: The University of Maryland based in College Park, MD offers a three-year fully funded MFA in Studio Art. The MFA program at Maryland emphasizes the need for a strong conceptual and theoretical understanding of contemporary art practices. Students admitted into the program are provided a spacious private studio and access to state-of-the-art facilities in sculpture, digital media, and printmaking. The majority of  MFA students are funded through teaching assistantships which include tuition remission and a stipend and are awarded on a competitive basis. In addition, the department offers numerous fellowships and awards to incoming and continuing MFA candidates. / Apply by February 4, 2025

 

  • Kala Fellowship: The Kala Fellowship Award is an international competition open to artists from the U.S. and around the world. Artists producing innovative work in all mediums including printmaking, digital media, installation art, social practice, photography, and book arts are encouraged to apply. Kala will award eight artists a $3,000 stipend, unlimited access to Kala’s facilities for up to six months, one Kala class, and a culminating show in the Kala Gallery in Berkeley, CA. The award is geared towards supporting artists in completing specific projects or bodies of work that would benefit from Kala’s specialized equipment in printmaking and digital media. / Apply by February 5, 2025

 

  • Projects for Peace Summer Grants: Projects for Peace Summer Grants is a global program that encourages young adults to develop innovative, community-centered, and scalable responses to the world’s most pressing issues. Along the way, these student leaders increase their knowledge, improve their skills, and establish identities as peacebuilders and changemakers. Every year 100 or more student leaders are awarded a grant for $10,000 each to implement a “Project for Peace,” anywhere in the world, typically over summer break. Projects for Peace are grassroots activities that address the root causes of conflict and promote peace. Grantees must attend a Projects for Peace partner institution. / Apply by February 5, 2025

 

  • Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Summer Enrichment Program: The Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Summer Enrichment Program is a six-week summer program providing undergraduate students with at least sophomore status a deeper appreciation of current issues and trends in international affairs, a greater understanding of career opportunities in international affairs, and an enhanced knowledge and skills to pursue such careers. Students live at Howard University, attend classes, and participate in programs with foreign affairs professionals at Howard and diverse locations around Washington, DC. The Program covers the costs for tuition, travel, housing, and two meals per day. It also provides a stipend of $3,300. / Apply by February 5, 2025

 

  • Marshall-Motley Scholars Program: The NAACP Legal Defense Fund (LDF) offers the Marshall-Motley Scholars Program (MMSP) to invest in populating, developing, and enriching the field of civil rights lawyers committed to racial justice. The program is for incoming law students pursuing a traditional 3-year law degree who intend to pursue a career in Civil Rights Law and are committed to racial justice. The Fellows program offers a full funding award for law school (JD) to alleviate the debt burden that can prevent future lawyers from pursuing a career in racial justice; summer internships at LDF and other national civil rights organizations; and a two-year postgraduate fellowship at a national, regional, or local civil rights organization with a racial justice law practice in the South. / Apply by February 5, 2025

 

  • Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP): The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) is a free summer program for students to explore their interests in medicine, dentistry, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, public health, and more. The program takes place at the 12 partner institutions and offers students a chance to develop competencies for becoming successful applicants to health profession programs, plan academic journeys, get clinical exposure, and network. Applicants must be high school graduates and currently enrolled as freshmen or sophomores in college; Be a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident, or an individual granted deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA) status. / Apply by February 5, 2025

 

  • NextGenPop Undergraduate Program in Population Research: NextGenPop is an undergraduate program in population research that aims to increase the diversity of the population field and nurture the next generation of population scientists. Students from underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. NextGenPop Fellows will study population composition and change through the lens of pressing contemporary issues, including race and income inequalities, health disparities, immigration, and family change. The program includes a 2-week, in-person, on-campus summer experience and subsequent virtual components focused on research and professional development. The program provides a stipend, room, board, and travel support. All participants will receive a stipend of $1,000. / Apply by February 5, 2025

 

  • Alaska Sea Grant Fellowships: The state fellowship program is modeled after the highly successful Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in planning and implementing marine resource policies and programs in Alaska. The program matches highly motivated graduate students and recent graduates with hosts in Alaska-based organizations or agencies for a paid 12-month fellowship. Students who are close to completing their graduate degree or those who have earned a graduate degree within two years of the application deadline in a relevant discipline can apply. For fellowships beginning in 2024, the stipend for the twelve-month assignment will be $60,000 (~$5,000/month). Additionally, there will be funds available to cover travel for fellowship-related activities. / Apply by February 5, 2025

 

  • Carla B. Howery Teaching Enhancement Fund Grants: The Carla B. Howery Teaching Enhancement Fund provides small grants to support projects that advance the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) within the discipline of sociology. These teaching grants can support an individual, a program, a department, or a committee of a state/regional association. ASA may award multiple grants, each up to $2,500. Principal criteria for the award are: the project advances the teaching and learning of sociology, serves as a seed project that will continue to have an impact over time, and will be systemic in its impact. The criteria are intentionally flexible to accommodate innovative proposals. / Apply by February 5, 2025

 

  • City Year Corps: City Year Americorps Members are as diverse a group as the communities they serve. We’re looking for individuals to commit to one year of service to work alongside teachers and their peers to support the students who need that extra attention, to work on a diverse team, and who are ready to make a difference through a challenging and fulfilling experience. Applicants must be able to dedicate 11 months to full-time service; be between ages 18 and 25, and be U.S. citizens or legal permanent resident aliens. City Year operates in 24 locations in the U.S. Multiple deadlines. / Apply by February 7, 2025

 

  • BalletX Choreographic Fellowship: The BalletX Choreographic Fellowship selects one promising choreographer to create a world-premiere work for the BalletX company. Fellows receive a $7,500 choreographic fee to create a 20-25 minute ensemble ballet on the company’s 10 dancers; round-trip transportation to Philadelphia; a budget of $7,000 for costumes, scenic design, and music (original composition or rights); and a minimum of 6 performances of the work at a Philadelphia theater. To be eligible, applicants must have completed their first commission on a professional dance company within the past 5 years and be able to work in the U.S. for the duration of the residency. / Apply by February 7, 2025

 

  • Reynolds Journalism Institute (RJI) Fellowships: The Reynolds Journalism Institute at the University of Missouri invites proposals from people and institutions to collaborate on innovative ideas and projects that strengthen democracy through better journalism. Residential fellows spend 8 months on campus taking advantage of the intellectual and technological resources of RJI and receive up to $100,000 for their stipend and research funding. Nonresidential fellowships ($25,000 total for 8 months) are designed for individuals interested in journalism and issues related to digital communications. Institutional fellowships help managers/teams develop ideas. / Apply by February 7, 2025

 

  • Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago Fully Funded Master of Divinity and Theology: Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, based in Chicago, IL offers a fully funded Master of Divinity and Theology. MDiv program is our commitment to equipping students to bear witness to the gospel and be agents of social transformation in our changing church and world. The ThM degree is a second master’s degree designed to equip students with fuller knowledge and insight concerning a focused area or discipline of theological study. LSTC offers several scholarships. They offer Visionary Scholarships, which are Presidential scholarships (full tuition), Dean’s scholarships (half tuition), and Servant scholarships ($5,000).   • Iowa State University Fully Funded Master’s in Mechanical Engineering: Iowa State University, based in Ames, IA offers a fully funded Master’s in Mechanical Engineering. The Master of Science (thesis) degree emphasizes graduate research and culminates in the creation of a thesis and associated oral exam. The majority of our graduate students are supported through research assistantships and/or fellowships. Teaching assistantships are determined by the Graduate Committee. Master’s applicants will be considered for 1/2 time research or teaching assistantship with a stipend of $2350 per month, and a 50% tuition scholarship.
