  • Planetary Scholars & Artists in Residence Program: The fellowship based at Justus Liebig University Giessen aims to stimulate transdisciplinary dialogues between the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and the arts. Two three-month fellowships are awarded April-June and two September-November to individuals/pairs with an advanced academic or artistic record relevant to a new theme each year. All fellows will be granted a monthly stipend of 5,000 euros/month and are expected to conceptualize workshops in a format of their own choosing, which may include a masterclass, an exhibition, or a performative activity. / Apply by July 24, 2024

 

  • Wellcome Trust Career Development Awards: The scheme of career development awards provides funding for mid-career researchers from any discipline who have the potential to be international research leaders. They will develop their research capabilities, drive innovative programs of work, and deliver significant shifts in understanding that could improve human life, health, and well-being. The host organization may be based in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, or Low- or middle-income countries (apart from India and mainland China). A Wellcome Career Development Award provides a salary for the grant holder (if required), and research expenses. The award usually lasts for 8 years. / Apply by July 25, 2024

 

  • Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship: The Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship was established by Peggy Traub and Phyllis Dicker to encourage and support lesbians in their pursuit of higher education. This program provides one-year scholarships of $4,000 to several students graduating from high school or already enrolled in college in any year of study, including graduate school. Scholarships are paid directly to the recipient’s school and are applied toward tuition. The applicants identify as a lesbians and plan to attend a college or university in the United States. There is no minimum GPA requirement. Submissions are judged on academic achievement, community service and leadership, and commitment to impacting LGBTQ issues. / Apply by July 26, 2024

 

  • Asia Foundation Development Fellows: The Asia Foundation Development Fellows program brings together a group of accomplished individuals from across the Asia-Pacific, under 40 years of age, who are deeply committed to building an inclusive Asia-Pacific and securing lasting change on the ground. This year-long career advancement program takes on a multifaceted approach to leadership development which includes two intensive, in-person modules, one in Asia and a second in the United States, as well as year-round support through mentorship, coaching, and a flexible grant. A flexible professional development award of US $5,000 will also be provided to each Fellow to use throughout the Fellowship year. / Apply by July 29, 2024

 

  • Wellcome Trust Discovery Awards: The scheme of discovery awards provides funding for established researchers and teams from any discipline who want to pursue bold and creative research ideas to deliver significant shifts in understanding that could improve human life, health, and wellbeing. The research can be in a single discipline or multidisciplinary. The host organization of the lead applicant should be based in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, or low- or middle-income countries (apart from India and mainland China). A Wellcome Discovery Award provides funding for research expenses. The award usually lasts for 8 years. / Apply by July 30, 2024

 

  • Joan Shorenstein Fellowship: The mission of the Joan Shorenstein Fellowship Program is to advance research in the field of media, politics, and public policy, provide an opportunity for reflection, and create a vibrant and long-lasting community of scholars and practitioners. The primary focus for a Fellow is to research, write, and publish a 15-20-page paper on a media/politics topic. The Shorenstein Center currently hosts 8 one-semester residential fellowships each year (4 per semester). The stipend is $30,000 for one semester. Fellows are in residence, full-time, for one semester. Mid to late-career full-time journalists, politicians, scholars, or policymakers are eligible. / Apply by July 31, 2024

 

  • Impact Entrepreneurship Graduate Fellowship: The Impact Entrepreneurship Graduate Fellowship at The New School (New York, NY) is a two-year cohort experience for high-potential leaders committed to creating social impact through entrepreneurship while pursuing a master’s degree, including MA, MS, and MFA programs. Fellows receive an award of $10,000 toward tuition for participation in the two-year fellowship ($5,000 per year), in addition to any merit-based scholarship they may receive from their degree program. Accepted fellows enroll in year-long Impact Entrepreneurship Fellowship cohort courses at The New School’s New York City campus during their first academic year.   • Simulation & Crisis Management in Anesthesia (SICMA) Fellowship: This fully funded fellowship is a structured program with a focus on enhancing competency in crisis resource management and preparing ‘Crisis Leaders in Anesthesiology’. It serves to bridge the gap between CanMEDS roles and the competency of crisis leadership. Additionally, it focuses on nurturing a fellow to become a simulation educator in creating an immersive, safe learning environment through simulation-based medical education. Fellows are awarded the certificate of Simulation Master & Crisis Leader in Anesthesiology after successful completion of training and the exit exam. / Apply by July 31, 2024

 

  • Teach English Abroad and Change Happens (TEACH) Fellowship in Taiwan: TEACH Fellowship invites American-certified teachers to teach mostly in K-12 schools in Taiwan to create an immersed bilingual and cultural learning environment for Taiwanese students and to enhance cultural and educational exchanges between Taiwan and the United States. This 11-month international fellowship opportunity may be renewed for an additional year with mutual written agreement by the fellowship recipient and AICEE. Applicants with both teacher certificates and TESOL/TEFL certificates are preferred. The monthly stipend will be approx. US$2,020 to US$2,523 and determined based on teaching experience (service length.) / Apply by July 31, 2024

 

  • Equal Justice Works Fellowship Program: The goals of the Equal Justice Works Fellowship Program are to serve underrepresented communities; create new public interest law positions; select a diverse group of highly qualified fellows; and develop future leaders in public interest law. Salary provided for two full years, loan repayment assistance, national training programs; and fringe benefits to be paid by GBLS. Applicant must have graduated from an Equal Justice Works Member Law School before September 2024 with a J.D. or LL.M.   • Center for Inclusive Policy Fellowship Program: The Center for Inclusive Policy Fellowship Program provides financial support, exposure to global discourse and developments in the policy landscape, and mentoring to people with disabilities from low- and middle-income countries who are actively working on issues of inclusive policy or policy research in support of the rights of people with disabilities as put forth in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Applicants are persons with disabilities in the early or mid stages of their careers. The program offers mentorship, training season, and a fellowship grant of US$ 1000 / month to help cover the time they spend on their projects. / Apply by July 31, 2024

 

  • SCI AmeriCorps Program: Social Capital Inc. (SCI) cultivates connections, unites diverse communities, and develops leaders. Their flagship initiative, SCI AmeriCorps, builds capacity for local youth-serving nonprofits in Greater Boston. It focuses on outreach, volunteer coordination, and youth leadership. Members receive a stipend, health insurance, a Segal education award, and access to training in volunteer management, youth mentorship, community outreach, social capital building, DEI, allyship, and project management. They can earn college credits through Merrimack College and participate in the capstone Social Capital Youth Project.   • Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program: The overarching goal of the CPFP is to provide a strong foundation for scientists and clinicians to train in the field of cancer prevention and control. The Program provides up to 4 years of financial support, a Master of Public Health (MPH) or an equivalent degree at any one-year accrediting university program, and mentored research opportunities at the NCI or at the FDA. You must possess an MD, PhD, JD, or other doctoral degree in a related discipline and have less than 5 years postdoctoral experience.   • Henry Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program: The Henry Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program supports the research and teaching careers of talented young faculty in the chemical sciences at undergraduate institutions in the United States. Based on institutional nominations, the program provides discretionary funding to faculty at an early stage in their careers. The award is based on accomplishment in scholarly research with undergraduates, as well as a compelling commitment to teaching, and provides an unrestricted research grant of $60,000. / August 1, 2024

 

  • Western University Fully Funded PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering: Western University in Ontario, Canada offers a fully funded Ph.D. Program in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. The Ph.D. is a 4-year research program working closely with an advisor. There are several fields of research to focus on including biomaterials and biochemical, environmental and green, macromolecular and materials, particle technology and fluidization, and reaction and process systems. Funding comes from a mixture of scholarships, fellowships, studentships, and grants. Minimum aid for Ph.D. students includes a full tuition waiver and a stipend of CAD 17,000 per year.   • Harvard Society of Fellows Junior Fellowships: Harvard University is offering three-year long fellowships for men and women to conduct post-doctoral research in any department of the University. Fellows must be persons of exceptional ability, originality, and resourcefulness, and should be of the highest caliber of intellectual achievement, comparable to successful candidates for junior faculty positions at leading universities. The MSW prepares social work professionals for working with vulnerable populations facing health, social and economic challenges. All fellows will receive a certificate in public health based on coursework and have the opportunity to take additional courses toward a Master of Public Health that could be finished after the completion of the fellowship.
