Upcoming Fellowship Deadlines: June 8 – 21, 2025
- The Smith Richardson Foundation Strategy and Policy Fellows Program: The fellowship provides grants for scholars and policy thinkers on American foreign policy, international relations, international security, military policy, and diplomatic and military history. The program aims to strengthen the U.S. community of scholars and researchers conducting policy analyses in these fields. There will be at least three research grants of $60,000 each to enable the recipients to research and write a book. This program supports junior or adjunct faculty, research associates, post-docs engaged in policy-relevant research, and writing and think tank affiliates focused on U.S. strategic and foreign policy issues. / Apply by June 9, 2025
- Inkluded Academy Summer Program: The Inkluded Academy Summer Program is a tuition-free publishing course taught by industry professionals that aims to educate and help place publishing aspirants from typically underrepresented groups into the industry. Held over the course of seven Saturdays in the summer, the program includes a rigorous curriculum, invested mentoring, and a commitment to job placement. The curriculum covers the foundational aspects of agenting, editorial, publicity, marketing, sales, scouting, production, and subsidiary rights. Each participant will receive career counseling, one-on-one sessions, and guidance from a mentor. The Inkluded Academy aims to be a much-needed pipeline between the book business and aspiring professionals from diverse backgrounds. / Apply by June 9, 2025
- Institute of Current World Affairs Fellowship: The ICWA fellowship program aims to nurture deep expertise in foreign countries and cultures by supporting a Fellow who carries out a program of self-designed, independent study abroad for a minimum of two years. We look for candidates who are sufficiently prepared to take advantage of the opportunity we offer. Fellowships are aimed at developing knowledge and professional skills, not awarding research or reporting opportunities to those who already have them. We expect candidates to have the necessary language skills to allow them to carry out their proposed projects. Candidates must be under the age of 36. U.S. citizenship is not a requirement, but candidates must show strong and credible ties to U.S. society. / Apply by June 15, 2025
- AICPA Foundation Fellowship for Accounting Doctoral Students: The AICPA Foundation Fellowship for Accounting Doctoral Students seeks to support CPAs with recent accounting experience who want to serve as role models and mentors to young people in the academic environment. Multiple $15,000 fellowships will be awarded to CPAs starting or already pursuing a full-time accounting Ph.D. or DBA degree at an AACSB-accredited accounting/business school who demonstrate significant potential to become accounting educators. The fellowship may be renewable for up to three consecutive years from the initial award. Current fellows must provide proof of enrollment and program progress for award renewal. Priority will be given to applicants of diverse ethnic backgrounds and underrepresented ethnic minorities in the accounting profession. / Apply by June 15, 2025
- Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute Short-Term Fellowships: The Smithsonian Tropical Research Institution (STRI) in Panama allows selected candidates to come to STRI year-round. It is an excellent resource for providing support for graduate students and introducing them to tropical research. Although focused primarily on graduate students, awards are occasionally given to undergraduate and postdoctoral candidates. These fellowships enable selected candidates to work in the tropics and explore research possibilities at STRI. Fellowships may provide a modest stipend to cover living expenses while at STRI (currently $1,250/month). / Apply by June 15, 2025
- 3-Year Tupper Postdoctoral Fellowship: The Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) maintains research facilities in different marine and terrestrial locations on the Isthmus of Panama. STRI awards the Earl S. Tupper 3-Year Postdoctoral Fellowship every year, allowing scientists to test their innovative hypotheses. Disciplines include ecology, anthropology, paleontology, paleoecology, evolutionary biology, molecular phylogenetics, biogeography, animal behavior, neurobiology, soils sciences, and physiology of tropical plants and animals. Research should be based at one of the STRI facilities; proposals that include comparative research in other tropical countries will be considered. The annual stipend is $40,000, with yearly travel and research allotments. / Apply by June 15, 2025
- German-Israeli Journalists Fellowship: The German-Israeli Journalists’ Fellowship is a travel and work fellowship for young journalists from Israel to spend 2 months in Germany. At the same time, the fellowship is being offered to journalists in Germany, who can apply to spend 2 months in Israel. The fellowship is intended to enable young journalists to familiarize themselves with political issues in Germany (or Israel) at an early stage of their career and raise awareness in aspects of German-Israeli relations in the future. The fellowship carries a single payment of 4,000 euros per person to cover expenses throughout the project. / Apply by June 15, 2025
- University of British Columbia Fully Funded PhD in Geological Sciences: The University of British Columbia, based in Canada, offers a fully funded PhD in Geological Sciences. The department has a wide range of expertise in geological sciences, including field-based studies, experimental research, and laboratory analyses. Numerous research units in the Department of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences maintain excellent provisions for research and study in a wide range of geological sciences. PhD stipends a minimum of $26,010. CDN/annually and tuition fee coverage guaranteed for four years. - University of Utah Fully Funded Master of Business Creation (MBC): The University of Utah based in Salt Lake City, UT offers a fully funded Master of Business Creation (MBC). The Master of Business Creation (MBC) is a nine-month, professional-degree program for serious entrepreneurs committed to growing their startup companies aided by an innovative, application-focused curriculum and access to mentoring, funding, and scholarships. Full and partial scholarships are available to support founders participating in the MBC program. The scholarships are designed to allow founders to use their resources on their startup idea instead of financing their education. - University of Tennessee Fully Funded Master’s in Modern Languages: The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, offers a fully funded master’s in modern languages. They offer an MA in French, German, and Spanish. They promote an area studies approach (French and Francophone, Germanic, Hispanic) with offerings in literature, translation, and gender/ethnic studies. Offer financial support for MA and Ph.D. candidates, including funding for travel to conferences for the presentation of scholarly papers and posters. MA students who receive support are funded for two years. GTA stipends are competitive and generally range between $14,700 – $18,000 for a 9-month contract. A tuition fee waiver (with a value of up to $31,000/year) and full medical insurance are included. / Apply by June 15, 2025
- East-West Center Summer Young Professionals Program: The East-West Center offers a semester-long program for undergraduate and graduate students and recent graduates to gain first-hand training experience at a US-Indo-Pacific research and education organization in Washington, DC. Applicants typically have a strong interest in US-Indo-Pacific relations. They may be studying international relations, Asia studies, international economics, international political economy, public policy, international business, or other similar areas of study. Full-time participation comes with a $2,000/month stipend. Stipends are prorated for part-time participation and may count as university credits if your school permits. - Helen Hay Whitney Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellowships: The Helen Hay Whitney Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellowships support early-career research training in all basic biomedical sciences. Candidates who hold or are in the final stages of obtaining a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree and are seeking to begin postdoctoral training in basic biomedical research are eligible to apply for a fellowship. The Foundation accepts applications from candidates who have no more than 1 year of postdoctoral research experience and who have received their PhD in the last 2 years. The fellowship is for 3 years and starts fellows with a stipend of $73,000 a year plus additional research and dependent child allowances. / Apply by June 16, 2025
