  • The Virginia HBCU Scholars Fellowship: The Virginia HBCU Scholars Fellowship helps HBCU-affiliated writers, community scholars, faculty members, and doctoral candidates with their research process through funding, access to academic publishing outlets, public promotion, and professional community/peer support. Projects of interest can range across the disciplines of traditional humanities, public, and digital humanities, and human-centered social sciences. Based on the applicant’s proposed budget, short-term fellowship awards range from $5,000 to $15,000 and long-term fellowship awards range from $20,000 to $45,000. / Apply by March 2, 2025

 

  • Virginia Humanities K-12 Educator Fellowship: The cohort of six K-12 Educator Fellows will spend nine months creating two learning experiences with lesson plans and aid in planning a professional development offering in collaboration with other fellows and Virginia Humanities staff. All educators committed to teaching the humanities, including media specialists, librarians, curriculum specialists, after-school specialists, and homeschool teachers, are encouraged to apply. Fellows will be given a stipend of $4000.00, a 360-degree camera, and two relevant books needed for research. Fellows will also be given unique opportunities for collaborations with specialists in their areas of interest as well as Virginia Humanities staff. / Apply by March 2, 2025

 

  • Junior Resident Fellows Program: The Junior Resident Fellows Program is a six-week program in Cambodia for Cambodian, French, and US students to live and study alongside peers about contemporary Cambodian history and society. Each summer, the Center for Khmer Studies (CKS) offers five U.S., five Cambodian, and five French undergraduate students the exciting opportunity to participate in this Program.  The Center for Khmer Studies covers the cost of tuition, accommodation, local transportation during program activities, books, study materials, and some field trip expenses. CKS also has small program grants of up to US$800 to offset the cost of international airfare, visas, and medical insurance. / Apply by March 2, 2025

 

  • Library Short-Term Resident Research Fellowships: The American Philosophical Society Library & Museum in Philadelphia invites applications for short-term residential research fellowships. These funding opportunities provide 1- to 3- months of support for researchers in residence and are open to Ph.D. candidates, holders of the Ph.D., and degreed independent scholars, in all fields who show a demonstrated need to use the Library & Museum’s collections for their project. Approximately 25-30 short-term fellowships are awarded each year. A stipend of $3,000 per month is awarded. / Apply by March 3, 2025

 

  • California Science and Technology Fellowship: The CCST Science & Technology Policy Fellows program selects and trains a group of fifteen PhD scientists and engineers each year to spend one year working in Sacramento. During this time, they work directly with decision-makers within the California State Legislature and Executive Branch. These scientific minds get a front-row seat to learn about the craft and process of policymaking in the state of California. CCST S&T Policy Fellows work alongside decision-makers to evaluate complex scientific issues and interpret data while taking on the responsibilities of full-time staffers. The base salary for this program is $66,560, and it includes paid time off, as well as health, dental, and vision benefits. Additionally, approved professional development and travel expenditures are reimbursed. CCST also reimburses up to $4,000 in relocation costs for moves over 50 miles. / Apply by March 3, 2025

 

  • Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Fellowships: Five Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowships in the amount of $27,000 each will be awarded to young poets in the U.S. through a national competition sponsored by the Poetry Foundation, publisher of Poetry magazine. Established in 1989 by the Indianapolis philanthropist Ruth Lilly, the fellowships are intended to encourage the further study and writing of poetry. Applicants must be U.S. citizens between 21 – 31 years of age at the time of application. / Apply by March 3, 2025

 

  • FSCIS Visiting Junior Scholar Fellowship: The France-Stanford Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (FSCIS) Visiting Junior Scholar Fellowship provides funding up to $10,000 for a project of 2-4 months. available to (1) Scholars who have completed a Ph.D. no more than three years from the date of applying for the fellowship and who hold a tenure-track/permanent (rather than post-doctoral) position. These may be Stanford-based scholars seeking a research visit at a French institution, scholars based in a French institution seeking a research visit at Stanford, and (2) Postdoctoral students.   • Drexel Fund Founders Program: The Drexel Fund offers a paid fellowship to innovative leaders with a strong desire and plans to launch high-quality, private schools for low-income children. The fellowship includes leadership coaching, cohort training, and school launch support. Founders receive a living stipend and a budget for their learning plans during a one-year fellowship that culminates in founders requesting school start-up funding. Fellows with approved program plans will receive financial resources while starting the school as they grow to full capacity.   • NXTHVN Studio and Curatorial Fellowships: Each year NXTHVN welcomes up to seven artists and two curators to participate in its paid 10-month intensive Fellowship Program. Each fellow will receive studio or office space, a stipend, and subsidized housing. Selected from an international pool of applicants, fellows relocate to New Haven to participate in NXTHVN’s mentorship-driven curriculum which includes professional development sessions led by visiting artists, curators, scholars, and practitioners. Selected fellows are also matched with a high school apprentice, for focused one-on-one mutual learning, which gives the next local generation a chance to grow and excel in creative fields. The fellowship year culminates with an annual group show at a prominent gallery space. / Apply by March 3, 2025

 

  • UJA Graduate Fellowship Program: Every year, UJA-Federation of New York selects up to 30 graduate students for the UJA Graduate Fellowship Program who are pursuing careers within the Jewish nonprofit world. Each fellow will receive a scholarship toward earning their degree, engage in innovative seminars, and build relationships with a cohort of future Jewish leaders. Both prospective and current students are welcome to apply. Fellowships are awarded for a maximum of two years and must be applied toward tuition. UJA offers scholarships for students interested in working within one of the partner agencies, grantees, day schools, or synagogues. This is an opportunity to receive a scholarship of up to $10,000 a year for up to two years. / Apply by March 3, 2025

 

  • NCPL Fellowship in Nonprofit Law: The NCPL Fellowship in Nonprofit Law permits one Fellow each year to spend a year in residence at a nonprofit organization. The fellow will work closely with senior staff and staff attorneys at Lawyers Alliance for New York who have practice specialties that will expose the Fellow to a broad range of disciplines that address the legal needs of nonprofit organizations. Fellowship is awarded to a U.S. law school graduate.  Fellows are selected for their scholarship, leadership, and commitment to practicing in the field of nonprofit law. Fellows are funded annually at a salary of $70,000 plus benefits. / Apply by March 3, 2025

 

  • Ford Foundation Fellowship in Nonprofit Law: The Ford Foundation Fellowship in Nonprofit Law permits a U.S. law school graduate each year to spend one year in residence at the Ford Foundation’s Office of Legal Services in New York, working with the General Counsel and staff of attorneys to provide legal advice on grantmaking, operations, governance, human resources, and investments. Fellows are selected for their scholarship, leadership, and commitment to practicing nonprofit law. The Fellows will receive a salary of $100,000 plus benefits. / Apply by March 3, 2025

 

  • Cleveland Foundation Public Service Fellowship: The Cleveland Foundation Public Service Fellowship offers emerging young leaders from across the country the skills and networks needed to create the community they envision and jumpstart a career in public service. A select group of 3-5 Fellows will spend a year embedded in public sector agencies in Cleveland working on the front lines of civic innovation. If you are a recent college graduate considering a public service career, choose Cleveland and continue the reinvention of a Rustbelt city on the rise. The 12-month fellowship includes a $44,000 salary with health benefits. / Apply by March 4, 2025

 

  • Udall Undergraduate Scholarship: The Udall Scholarship identifies future leaders in environmental, Tribal public policy, and healthcare fields. Students participate in their schools’ internal competitions before receiving consideration from the Udall Foundation. Undergraduate Udall Scholars receive an award of up to $7,000 for eligible academic expenses. Udall Scholars are undergraduates interested in conservation and environmental issues, and undergraduate Native Americans and Alaska Natives working on an array of policy issues in Indian country or pursuing health-related careers. Applicants must be a sophomore or junior college student at a 2 or 4-year accredited institution in the U.S. pursuing a bachelor’s or associate’s degree. / Apply by March 4, 2025

 

  • InterMaths Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree: The 2-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programme in Interdisciplinary Mathematics begins in September. Every year several full scholarships are offered through the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme (EMJMD) 49,000 EUR (maximum). For candidates who will not be awarded an EMJMD scholarship, the InterMaths Consortium will allocate a certain number (TBD) of “Consortium Scholarships. Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or other similar field with a very strong mathematical background. The EMJMD scholarship will include student participation costs (including tuition fees, full insurance, and others), travel costs, and living allowance.   • Yale University Global Food Fellowships: The Global Food Fellowship sponsors the academic and extracurricular study of food systems beyond Yale University’s campus. It offers the opportunity to bring place-based practice and participant observation into examining multiple levels of food systems. All Global Food Fellowships should be grounded in a guiding question, which seeks to explore ideas that could overturn the ecological, social, and economic deficiencies of today’s predominant food systems. All Yale undergraduate and graduate students, including graduating seniors, are welcome to apply. Priority will be given to projects that engage with a non-Yale community partner and work with them to ensure the project meets an identified need. / Apply by March 5, 2025

 

  • Harvard Summer School Tuition Fellowship: The Summer School Tuition Fellowships enable students in the humanities or social sciences to engage in language study at the Harvard Summer School in Cambridge, either to prepare for their department foreign language exam or to get ready for language needs related to the dissertation. Summer School Tuition Fellowships are open to all GSAS students; however, priority will be given to PhD students who require summer language study for their dissertation research. The fellows will receive a single tuition waiver for one language course at the Harvard Summer School. / Apply by March 6, 2025

 

  • Eudora Welty Research Fellowship: The Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH) offers the Eudora Welty Research Fellowship in partnership with the Eudora Welty Foundation. This annual fellowship awards a $5,000 stipend to one graduate student to conduct research using the Eudora Welty Collection at MDAH for two weeks during the summer. The fellowship seeks to nurture scholars at the beginning of their academic careers to increase their lifelong interest in, and promote continued academic and public appreciation of, Eudora Welty’s life and works. The fellowship recipient must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university. / Apply by March 7, 2025
