  • McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism: The McGraw Fellowship provides editorial and financial support to journalists who need the time and resources to produce a significant story or series that provides fresh insight into an important business or economic topic. The Fellowship provides a grant of up to $15,000 for each project. The McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism is open to anyone with at least five years of professional experience in journalism.   • Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship: The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship is a highly competitive national fellowship program that provides college graduates with the opportunity to gain a Washington perspective on key issues of peace and security. Twice yearly, the Fellowship’s Board of Directors selects a group of outstanding individuals to spend 6-9 months in Washington. Supported by a salary, the fellows serve as full-time junior staff members at the participating organization of their choice. The program also arranges meetings for the fellows with policy experts.   • DAAD Short Term Lectureship: The DAAD Short-Term Lectureship program facilitates the process of hosting German guest lecturers in North America. Its goal of sharing the talents of highly qualified German scholars with Canadian and US universities aims to promote academic activity in specialized fields, fill curricular gaps, or act as a stimulus for teaching and research. Thus this program is open to all academic disciplines. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed four times a year.   • Independence Foundation Public Interest Law Fellowships: Independence Foundation is committed to supporting free legal services for residents of the Philadelphia region. Through the Fellowship Program, the Foundation funds the compensation and employment benefits for accomplished young lawyers who have decided to direct their considerable talents to public interest service. The Foundation requires that the focus of all Fellowship work be on the direct representation of disadvantaged clients.   • Fulbright U.S. Student Program for Study/Research: A U.S. Student Fulbright Grant allows for individually designed study/research projects that will take place during one academic year (9-12 months) in a country outside the U.S. Applicants design their projects and will typically work with advisers at foreign universities or other institutes of higher education. The study/research awards are available in approximately 140 countries. For recent BA/BS graduates, graduate and doctoral students, and young professionals including artists, musicians, writers, journalists, and those in law, business, and other professional fields.   • Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarship in Australia: For American doctoral students to conduct research and/or study in Australia; or to support enrollment in an Australian postgraduate program such as a Masters. Provides living, travel & establishment allowances for a program of 8-10 months duration. Funding is stipend-based and does not cover tuition fees. Fulbright Scholarships are open to applicants from any academic field. Applicants for Australian Fulbright Scholarships must be U.S. citizens. / Apply by October 8, 2024

 

  • Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships In Public Health: Offered in partnership with the Fogarty International Center of the U.S. National Institute of Health, Fulbright-Fogarty fellowships grant medical students and graduate students interested in global health the opportunity to conduct research in public health and clinical research in resource-limited settings. Fellows spend nine months in one of nine countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, or South America. To participate, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, be enrolled in graduate or medical school, and have sufficient proficiency in the host language to carry out the project required.   • Fulbright-National Geographic Award: Fulbright U.S. Student Program semi-finalists may apply for the Fulbright-National Geographic Award and propose up to $20,000 in additional grant funds from the National Geographic Society to expand your research and/or help bring your story to life and, if selected, join the National Geographic Explorer community. Proposals undertake an in-depth examination of a globally relevant issue as an add-on to your Fulbright Open Study/Research project. The National Geographic Society’s focus areas are Ocean, Land, Wildlife, Human History & Cultures, and Human Ingenuity, with funding opportunities in the fields of conservation, research, storytelling, education, and technology. National Geographic grantees must be selected for a Fulbright Study/Research Grant by the eligible country for which they applied. / Apply by October 8, 2024

 

  • HAEF Teaching Fellowship/Fulbright Greece: 13 grants are available for recent U.S. Bachelor’s and Master’s degree holders to become Fulbright Fellows at Athens College-Hellenic American Educational Foundation (HAEF). The program lasts for 10.5 months and aims to promote cultural exchange. Fellows will receive a maintenance allowance, airfare up to USD 1,500, housing, Modern Greek language lessons, ASPE, and limited group insurance.   • Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships (ETA): The English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Programs place recent college graduates and young professionals from the U.S. in classrooms abroad for up to 1 year to assist the local English teachers. ETA’s help teaches the English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. The age and academic level of the students varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level.   • Fulbright-Anne Wexler Master’s Award in Public Policy: The Fulbright-Anne Wexler Scholarships enable Australian and U.S. postgraduate students with strong academic credentials and leadership potential to undertake a two-year Master’s degree in Australia or the U.S. focusing on public policy. These may include key areas such as health, sustainability, energy, climate change, regional security, education, political science, history, or governmental relations. The award includes tuition, a living stipend, and travel. Two Fulbright Anne Wexler Scholarships will be awarded annually: one for an Australian citizen and one for an American (US) citizen.   • Knight-Hennessy Scholars Fellowship: Stanford University located in Stanford, California is offering up to one hundred, fully-funded graduate degree programs including the DMA, JD, MA, MBA, MD, MFA, MS, and PhD degrees as well as joint- and dual degrees. Scholars will receive a living and academic stipend to live within the Stanford graduate community at the Denning House, which is dedicated to interaction with each other and distinguished visitors. Eligible applicants can be from any country while holding at least the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree.   • Parker B. Francis Fellowship: The Parker B. Francis Fellowship provides research support to clinical and basic scientists embarking on careers in clinical, laboratory, or translational science related to Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at a U.S. or Canadian university or research institution. The ideal candidate is one with evidence of strong aptitude in research and who is in transition from post-doctoral trainee to independent investigator. For Ph.D. or other non-M.D. scientists no more than 7 years beyond completion of their doctoral degree or M.D. scientists no more than 7 years beyond clinical training. / Apply by October 10, 2024

 

  • Solar Ready Vets Fellowships: The Solar Ready Vets Fellowships are implemented by Hiring Our Heroes. The Fellowship connects transitioning service members with solar employers for on-the-job experience in leadership and corporate roles, offering access to a natural recruitment pipeline of the best and brightest transitioning military talent as they explore civilian career options. Highly qualified transitioning service members are placed with solar industry employers for 12 weeks of on-the-job training, intended to lead to employment. There is no cost to employers or fellows to participate.   • Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship: The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, thereby gaining skills critical to our national security and economic competitiveness. The Gilman Scholarship Program is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide. The Miller Institute seeks to discover and encourage talented researchers, and to provide them with the opportunity to pursue their research on the Berkeley campus. Miller Research Fellowships are intended for scientists who have recently been awarded, or who are about to be awarded, the doctoral degree to pursue a topic in basic sciences through interdisciplinary research. The fellowship is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office. The fellowship is hosted by Cranfield University, UK. This ten-week fellowship provides fellows with an understanding of policy and legislative approaches in cyber security and its implications for national security, commercial opportunity, crime prevention, and the right to privacy.   • Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program (CFP): The Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) Corporate Fellowship Program (CFP) is a workforce development program for active-duty military members within 180 days of transition from military service. The program places highly skilled and educated transitioning service members with employers committed to hiring them. HOH CFP Fellows are carefully matched with one of the hundreds of participating host companies based on their skills and experience. Fellows participate in a six to twelve-week internship and receive exclusive on-the-job training, experience in the private sector, and weekly educational sessions with their cohort. The goal of the program is for Fellows to earn a full-time job at their host company upon the conclusion of their internship.   • Chevening South Asia Journalism Fellowship (SAJP): The Chevening South Asia Journalism Fellowship (SAJP) is aimed at mid-career journalists from South Asian countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. The 8-week fellowship program explores the different ways in which the media play a part in holding democratic processes to account, including government, the civil service, and security, as well as the broader political system in both the So fellows will participate in lectures, visits, and discussions that introduce them to key UK academics, media, and political figures in the field.   • Omidyar Fellowship at the Santa Fe Institute: The Omidyar Fellowship at the Santa Fe Institute is unique among postdoctoral appointments. The fellowship offers transdisciplinary collaboration with leading researchers worldwide with up to three years of residence in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Institute has no formal programs or departments. Research is collaborative and spans the physical, natural, and social sciences. Most research is theoretical and/or computational, although some research includes an empirical component. SFI averages 15 resident faculty, 95 external faculty, and 250 visitors per year. Recipients may conduct research in any discipline in the College: natural, quantitative, and social sciences, humanistic inquiry, the creative arts, and emerging fields that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries. This fellowship seeks to strengthen and make visible scholarship on U.S.-Italy relations and issues of cultural exchange.
