The Blind Leaders Development Program, offered by the American Foundation for the Blind, will provide mentorship and leadership development opportunities for blind leaders from across the country. Blind Leaders will expand their networks across sectors, creating more opportunities to engage in leadership roles. The aim of the program is to ultimately contribute to an upward trend in the employment rate of people with visual impairments. Every year, AFB will select a cohort of blind or visually impaired individuals: 50% emerging leaders as Fellows and 50% established leaders to act as their Mentors.
