Allegheny Mountain School Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain School

Allegheny Mountain School (AMS) was founded in 2011 as a not-for-profit experiential fellowship program designed to serve communities in developing a more secure food system. AMS is a two phase 18-month long program: in Phase I AMS Fellows study sustainable food production, land stewardship and community development while in residence in Virginia; in Phase II, AMS Fellows will work in the service of Partner Organizations. AMS Fellows will be provided room and board during the fellowship and a Permaculture Design Certificate. Upon successful completion of the AMI Farm Fellowship, Fellows are eligible to receive a stipend of $18,000 for the year following while working in Community Service as an AMI Senior Fellow.
