Hired for a two-year term, one Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in Women’s History and Public History works as a public historian for the New-York Historical Society’s Center for Women’s History. The ideal candidate will have a strong scholarly background in women’s history and an interest in public history. Applicants for the Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship must have the Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment. The Fellow will be in residence as a full-time staff member, working alongside senior scholars on the Center for Women’s History team at a dedicated workstation. Stipend is $60,000 per year with full benefits.
