Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL)

The APHL-CDC Biorisk Management Fellowship trains and prepares scientists for careers in public health laboratories and supports laboratory safety, biosafety and biosecurity. The program provides high-quality training while contributing to the public health lab workforce. Fellows apply their skills to a range of important and emerging public health problems while gaining experience in areas of biorisk management such as: biosafety and biosecurity, lab safety, regulations, training/outreach to diverse partners, and policies to minimize risks associated with handling of biological materials.
