The Chateaubriand Fellowship – Humanities & Social Sciences (HSS) provides PhD students currently enrolled at a U.S. university the opportunity to conduct research in France in any discipline of the Humanities and Social Sciences. The fellowship lasts for 4 months and provides travel, health insurance, and a monthly stipend of 1,704 Euros. Candidates do not have to be U.S. citizens, but they must be enrolled in an American university.
