This program aims to promote internationalization in education by inviting educators from North America to German universities for guest lectureships. The program is open to highly qualified scholars in all fields who hold a doctorate or other terminal degree and have an affiliation with a higher education institution. Even exceptionally talented experts who are not full-time educators will be considered. This initiative is an excellent opportunity for American professors to contribute their expertise and teaching methods to the distinguished traditional curricula, as well as international degree programs offered at German universities, Fachhochschulen, and art colleges. Host institutions pay the visiting professors according to standard salary rates for civil servants and university faculty in Germany.
