Dooley Distinguished Research Fellowships supports graduate-level, postdoctoral, and independent scholars from outside the Savannah, Georgia area as they conduct onsite research in the Georgia Historical Society Research Center collections for a least a week in May-June. Fellows’ research should center around an independent project, which can be a dissertation, book, article, chapter, conference paper, or documentary. Research Fellows have access to manuscripts, photographs, architectural drawings, rare and non-rare books, and maps, portraits, and artifacts. Up to $5,000 will be awarded each cycle with 1-5 Research Fellows in each award cycle.
