The core Fulbright Scholar Program sends 800 U.S. faculty and professionals abroad each year. Grants are available in over 125 countries worldwide. Grantees lecture and conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields. Grant lengths vary in duration: applicants can propose projects for a period of two to 12 months, as specified in the award description. Only U.S. citizens are eligible to apply.
