JMC-Newberry Library Fellowship

The Newberry is a world-renowned independent research library in Chicago and offers readers an extensive non-circulating collection of rare books, maps, music, manuscripts, and other printed material spanning six centuries. The Newberry Library-Jack Miller Center Fellowship is a short-term award of one or two months’ support in the amount of $2,500 per month for Ph.D. candidates or post-doctoral scholars . The fellowship at the Newberry must be continuous and time in residence should occur between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017. This fellowship is intended for study that will contribute to a deeper understanding of America’s founding principles and history.
