The London School of Economics offers a fully funded PhD Program in Finance. Finance students begin their PhD by taking microeconomics and macroeconomics courses with students in the Economics program. After completing the economic coursework, students continue through advanced courses in financial econometrics, asset pricing and corporate finance. Upon completion of these courses, PhD students decide on a thesis and conduct independent research under an advisor. Students are funded through studentships in the department, which cover all fees and provide a maintenance stipend throughout the course of the program.
