Through fellowships to published translators, the NEA supports projects for translating specific prose, poetry, or drama from other languages into English. We encourage translations of writers and work not well represented in English translation. Translation fellowships are individual grants for $12,500 or $25,000. We do not fund work toward academic degrees.
