New York University Fully Funded PhD in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies

New York University offers a fully funded PhD in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies. Students in the MEIS doctoral program concentrate their studies in one of the three tracks: Culture & Representation, Islamic Studies, and Literature. Students primarily interested in studying and pursuing research on, the history of the Middle East matriculate in the joint PhD program in History and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies. All graduate students admitted to MEIS are awarded MacCracken Fellowships, which provide for five years of tuition and stipend. Teaching is not a condition of this fellowship.
