The Ohio State University based in Columbus, OH offers a three-year fully funded MFA in creative writing. This MFA program is designed to help graduate students develop their talents and abilities as writers of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction to the fullest. Creative writing classes are conducted as workshops or tutorials, and there are numerous opportunities for related study within and beyond the Department of English. All students in a program are fully funded for three years. Graduate teaching associateship, for which the student receives a stipend of at least $17,000 for the nine-month academic year.
