The course at the University of Jember, East Java, Indonesia, explores barriers to accessing justice in Southeast Asia, focusing on Indonesia. It examines the challenges individuals face in achieving fair treatment, the role of human rights law, and the interaction between national and international legal frameworks. Participants will analyze human rights violations, cultural resistance, and the role of advocacy groups. Designed for students, NGO workers, and early-career community leaders, the course includes classroom sessions, field visits, and cultural experiences, culminating in a Human Rights Conference. Scholarships are available for select participants to cover the $2000 course fee.
