Peggy Traub and Phyllis Dicker established the Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship to encourage and support lesbians in pursuing higher education. This program provides one-year scholarships of $4,000 to several students graduating from high school or already enrolled in college in any year of study, including graduate school. Scholarships are paid directly to the recipient’s school and are applied toward tuition. The applicants identify as lesbian and plan to attend a college or university in the United States. There is no minimum GPA requirement. Submissions are judged on academic achievement, community service and leadership, and commitment to impacting LGBTQ issues.
