The University of Arkansas, based in Fayetteville, AR offers a fully funded master’s in Philosophy. The M.A. program is a two-year program. Students in either program can concentrate on the history of philosophy (including ancient, medieval, modern and contemporary), metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, social and political philosophy, philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, philosophy of religion, and/or philosophy of science. Departmental teaching assistantships and research assistantships are available. For 2019-2020 the stipend was $12,400, plus a tuition waiver. In addition to this and external scholarships, the Graduate School offers a number of fellowships and employment opportunities.
