The University of Chicago, based in Chicago, Illinois offers a fully funded PhD in Classical Studies. Classics Department offers a doctoral graduate program in Classical Studies, with four different concentrations: Classical Languages and Literature; Ancient Mediterranean World; Ancient Philosophy; and Transformations of the Classical world. The doctoral students who matriculate in Classics will be fully supported by the University—with tuition, annual stipend, and individual health insurance—for as long as they remain in good standing, up to the University’s limit on registration. The funding level for stipends in 2020-2021 is $32,000.
