The M.A. program in AAADS provides a theoretical base of knowledge and a context for analyzing African American and diaspora experiences. Top incoming AAADS graduate students may be awarded fellowships to support their studies at IU. These prestigious awards carry at least one year of a guaranteed living stipend and full tuition remission. Most of our graduate students receive funding by working as associate instructors or research assistants and these positions come with a living stipend and full tuition remission.
