The University of Michigan offers a fully funded PhD program in Computer Science. All students start their PhD with coursework in Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering. After 2 years of foundational learning, students decide on a focus for their research and complete their thesis under research advisors. All students in Computer Science will have access to any department in the engineering school and multidisciplinary collaboration is encouraged. Students are fully funded through a fellowship, a research assistantship, or a teaching assistantship offered by the program.
