The University of Toronto is based in Canada offers a fully funded PhD in Cinema Studies. The PhD program in Cinema Studies addresses the changing role of moving image media within global culture. Past and present configurations of cinema are studied through a constellation of theoretical, textual, social, and historical rubrics. Students accepted into graduate programs will receive a base funding package. For PhD students, this will be a base funding package each year for 4 years. For September 2021, the base funding will include tuition and fees, and $20,000. Teaching Assistantships and Grading Positions are part of the base funding.
