The University of Waterloo, based in Canada offers a fully funded Master of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering (MASc). The MASc program emphasizes high-level independent research by candidates. The topic of the thesis and the choice of courses are decided by the student and their supervisor(s). Candidates will participate in a research program generally involving either theory or experimentation, or both. All full-time students in the MASc are guaranteed a minimum level of funding while they are within their program time limits and in good academic standing.
