USAID Research and Innovation Fellows are part of an exceptional group of early-career scientists placed worldwide to engage in research and innovation projects with universities, private sector corporations, research institutions, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. Currently, only individuals with an award from the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) are eligible to participate. Fellows spend a summer, semester, or year overseas helping solve development challenges through scientific, technological, and innovative research. Provides up to $24K for placements of 2-12 months.
