Western University based in Canada offers a fully funded master’s in Anthropology. The graduate programs in Anthropology at Western build on a traditional four sub-disciplinary approach that incorporates sociocultural anthropology, archaeology, biological anthropology, and linguistic anthropology. The department has three recognized streams of research at the master’s level. Domestic MA students receive funding for 2 years (6 terms) of their program, through a combination of WGRS and GTA/GSA, and are also eligible for external awards. In 2022-23, their full-time domestic MA students received a funding package of at least $19,800. Also, a small number of funded international students are accepted into the MA programs.
