Cornell University in Ithaca, New York offers a fully funded PhD program in Chemical Engineering. The program is designed to be a flexible research-oriented degree. There 5 specialization options that are all guided by special committees: biomolecular engineering, complex fluids and polymers, computational and systems biology, nanoscale electronics, photonics and materials processing, and sustainable energy systems. All students admitted to the ChemE Ph.D. program receive full financial aid in the form of a full tuition waiver, stipend, and health insurance, either from a fellowship, research assistantship, or teaching assistantship. Full stipends are given for 9 months; additional summer support is usually available.
