Ulster University located in Northern Ireland offers fully funded PhD in creative writing. Individual scholars within the department are engaged in a range of research in the fields of English Studies and would welcome proposals that fall within any of the following parameters: Early Modern, Eighteenth Century and Victorian Literature and Culture, through to Modern, Postmodern, Contemporary, and Creative Writing, as well as Critical Theory. They accept applications in creative writing, particularly within poetry and prose fiction. The University is able to regularly offer scholarship awards to support Ph.D. study for applicants from across the globe. These scholarships generally pay full tuition fees and provide a tax-free maintenance grant of over £15,000 per year.
