The College of William and Mary, based in Williamsburg, Virginia offers a fully funded Master’s in Biology. One of the goals of the Biology graduate program is to produce graduates with both specialized training in their chosen subdisciplines as well as communication skills to effectively function within a broad-based scientific community. Most of the graduate students are funded by a teaching assistantship that provides a stipend as well as remission of tuition and all fees. Students who pursue an MS degree receive summer support from their advisors’ grant funds and, for those holding a teaching assistantship, from W&M.
