The Boise State University based in Boise, Idaho offers a 3-year fully funded MFA in Creative Writing. This Master of Fine Arts in creative writing degree is dedicated to poetry and fiction. Close work with faculty and visiting writers is encouraged through workshops, seminars, and conferences during the three-year course. This is a small program, with 8-10 students in each genre at a given time, which results in individualized attention and a close-knit community. Internships and graduate assistantships are available. All students receive a tuition waiver, health insurance, and a Teaching Assistantship with a stipend of $11,450 per year.
