The Thomas R. Pickering Undergraduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship provides funding to participants as they are prepared academically and professionally to enter the U.S. Department of State Foreign Service. Fellows are undergraduate students selected in their junior year of college. The fellowship provides up to $37,500 annually for the senior year of college and the first year of graduate school. Undergraduate Fellows receive stipends during their participation in two paid summer internships in Washington, D.C. at State Department and one overseas at a U.S. embassy.
