The University of Alberta in Canada offers a fully funded Master of Science in Computing Science. Based on research from their chosen area, these M.Sc. students are expected to write a thesis. Computing Science covers a very wide range of topics. The Department of Computing Science provides financial support for a number of thesis-based students in the graduate program in the form of teaching and research assistantships. Funding for the first year is approximately $25 197 for a full-time M.Sc. student. There are a variety of scholarships and awards available.
