ArtistYear is dedicated to addressing inequities in Arts Education for K-12 students, and develops, supports, and places exceptional Resident Teaching Artists to serve full-time at low-income schools. This innovative strategy significantly expands arts and creative learning opportunities. Applicants to ArtistYear must be highly skilled in their artistic craft, hold a degree in an artistic field, or have a comparable combination of education and experience in their artistic field. Able to dedicate up to 11 months to a full-time national service year. Besides the professional development and personal growth of each artist, the program provides living stipends, education awards, and other benefits.
