Columbia University in New York City offers a fully funded PhD program in Environmental Health Sciences. Doctoral students acquire an understanding of the application of modern scientific methods and techniques to solve problems related to how environmental exposures affect human health. There are 4 PhD tracks: 1) Exposure Science and Environmental Epidemiology, 2) Environmental Epigenetics and Molecular Mechanisms, 3) Environmental Prevention and Mitigation, and 4) Climate and Health. After selecting a track students conduct independent research under a committee of advisors. All PhD students receive full tuition, a stipend, and health insurance coverage.
