The Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program at the University of California-Santa Cruz (UCSC) is a two-year program for undergraduates. During the first summer, Scholars participate in a field-based course focused on collaborative research in California. Throughout the school year, program staff check in with Scholars to support their goals. After a winter workshop, Scholars pursue 8-week conservation practice internships with conservation organizations and agencies. Scholars must be enrolled at or accepted as transfer students to four-year colleges or universities in the US with at least two more years of college left.
