Louisiana State University, based in Baton Rouge, LA offers a fully funded PhD in Geography. Requirements for the Ph.D. in Geography include a minimum of 60 credit hours beyond the bachelor’s degree or 30 hours beyond the master’s degree. The G&A department currently funds approximately 20 students through departmental teaching assistantships. All applicants who submit complete applications by the deadline will be considered for funding. In exchange for service, an assistantship provides a monthly stipend and a non-resident fee waiver.
