McGill University, based in Canada offers a fully funded Master’s in Linguistics. The M.A. in Linguistics is a thesis-based program that provides training in the fundamentals of theoretical and experimental linguistics. All full-time students will be funded. MA students are funded for 20 months. The funding package is contingent on maintaining a CGPA of 3.5 or higher in graduate (500-to-700-level) Linguistics courses. $18,000 for 12 months in MA1; $12,000 for 8 months in MA2. Tuition and fees for both years are also covered. Funding comes from a variety of internal and external sources.
