Mississippi State University offers a fully funded Master’s in Political Science. The degree is intended to prepare students for academic careers in research and teaching, and professional careers in public service or the private sector. The Department offers teaching, research, and service graduate assistantships. The assistantship stipend amounts range from $9,250 to $16,000. Graduate assistantship positions cover most university fees and all out-of-state fees. Students must be enrolled full-time in a master’s or Ph.D. program to be eligible for a graduate assistantship position.
