The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation is awarding grants to be spent over a two-year term on any expense supportive of research. Awards are given to 126 researchers in recognition of distinguished performance. The foundation seeks to stimulate fundamental research by early-career scientists and scholars of outstanding promise. Candidates must hold a tenure track at a college or university and hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in chemistry, computational or evolutionary molecular biology, computer science, economics, mathematics, neuroscience, ocean sciences, physics, or a related field. Fellows receive a grant of $70,000.
