Syracuse University, based in Syracuse, New York offers a fully funded PhD in Religion. The PhD program in religion emphasizes creative interdisciplinarity, theoretical reflection, and the rigorous investigation of material, textual, cultural, aesthetic, and political dimensions of religions. Three graduate concentrations are Communities & Identities; Critique, Image and Politics; and Texts & Contexts. All admitted PhD students will receive five years of stipend funding, including a full tuition scholarship, for working as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Religion.
