The American University in Cairo offers Fellowships in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) to full-time students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the TESOL program and gain language teaching experience. The program is available to all nationalities with a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent, and with native or near-native English proficiency. The Fellowship is for two academic years and the intervening summer session, with a review every semester for satisfactory academic performance. The Fellowship covers tuition fees for up to nine credits per semester, stipend, student services and activities fees, and medical service and health insurance fees. Fellows will teach nine hours of English per week.
