Students may focus their studies in any of the major fields of anthropology; archaeology, biological anthropology, and cultural anthropology. Many of the incoming M.A. students receive partial funding (10-hour positions) through the Department of Anthropology’s GIA appointments. The department offers limited travel funding for M.A. students presenting the results of their research at professional conferences. Based on academic excellence, the department offers some scholarships.
